Realizing the value
Happy Teacher's Day
I would like to pay tribute to all the teachers on this special day. To all the teacher who taught me and remembering all best days of my life I owe much more than just teaching in the class. Some teachers have supported me like a psychiatrist, some like a counsellor, some like a brother or a sister and some like parents.
Particularly, this year I would like to celebrate this moment with special reference to my class teacher of grade 1 and grade 2 ma'am Phul Maya who is now a retired teacher.
Why she is so special to me?
My parents were concerned about my education, they never gave up when I did not get admission to a government school. My mother saved a bag of coin by selling oranges along the road side as a orange vendor. Private school was still expensive for us though we only had to pay nu. 550 a month.
Ma'am Phul used to care us like her own child. Although we used to get beating sometimes. By the way we had total student of 3 in grade one and only 2 number in grade two. I don't even remember she writing on the green board. Everytime I made mistakes I use to get knuckle or to rewrite. It was like having a private tutor. That's how I was good studies too. By the way I was topper though never have 4th position.
Ma'am Phul also had a very good connection with my mother. She use to praise me as well as ask my mother to let me do homework and read at home which I never did. Once I remember how I left my exam paper doing half in a hurry to go home. I almost reached half way when I was called to do the rest paper. But after reaching back I bitterly got my ear twist and made to write the left over.
I also remember your gift "shirt". Though I didn't like but I had to wear since it was a gift. Although I never felt the importance of a teacher at that time, I always had that admiration. So let this day be a special realization that all you did was for good cause. Today I'm proud that I'm doing well all because I had the hand to hold to start my journey. As I'm graduating, I maybe one of you as a teacher or may not be. But it is the final day to celebrate as a student. Today I know the importance of an educator and education. It's all because I had such teacher to craft a path to my journey.
