Why "kings in Bhutan" is unquestionable
Many people around the world have admired their majesties for their ideal role as a king and queen and all the ancestors who worked so hard and intelligently to safeguard the sovereignty and independence of the nation. It's why we are surviving on the Himalayan mountain top leaving aside the giant countries India and China. If our forefathers were not brave, Bhutan could be one the state of some powerful country. When country first recognize it's King in 1907 it was just one climax in the history of Bhutan as a internal united nation. But protection from outside world remain a challenge. During the period of imperialism and militarism and the work war Bhutan acted as forbidden paradise. The second king Jigme Wangchuck did not stress on foreign relations. When the World War stopped and every weak countries were seeking it's independence to be recognized, the idea of Third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk known as father of modern Bhutan raised the popularity of small country to be recognized as independent nation by the UNO. So it did in 1971 Bhutan was recognized as independent nation. After that, world could not get healed from the higher economic fluctuating between booms and depressions. Bhutan remained unaffected, and in the early 21st century when the world compete and speeding for economic drive the idea of GNH pick its popularity. It was how democracy was born peacefully, constitution was another gift from the throne.
In 2008 first November the Fifth King was enthroned 10 years earlier than retirement of the great fourth king while in other countries the some fight for the throne and power. This is a beautiful story of Bhutan in nutshell as it is boyantly emerging as a GNH country. A country priority in increasing the happiness of the country rather than GDP. There are so many amazing stories behind the stories I have mentioned above. You can check amazing book "History of Bhutan" by Karma Phuntsho.

What is so amazing in the recent time that will hardly be described in the history in future is the parenthood that their majesties portrayed for all normal family. The royal family has been an exampliry for how to be a ideal father despite being king and a ideal mother despite a role as queen. Recently in 2018 during the National Day celebration a two years old prince was seen bowing down before his grandfather with his father in front the gathering of thousand people.
It was the highlight of the 111th National Day. What can a two year old child knows, what king is or what he does. I feel this is what a good parenting is. Every family should learn from 111th National Day, that position doesn't matter to be good parents. There is no way that parents cannot afford to spend time with their children. Parents in whatever they do or wherever they are, will always have time in nurturing with good values to their children.
I felt this what real GNH means to me. Personal Happiness and peace at home is all contributed by nurtured values who respect practice the culture and traditions of our forefathers, one who keep faith in love of their loved ones.
I feel I'm so blessed to be born in this country under such a noble king. I am also inspired by the way his majesty set the example of not as a king but a a good brother, as a true son, as a father. I don't want to compare with the economy of other countries who are far developed and peaceful or with the worst countries who always have conflicts but feel blessed the it is.
This is also an answer to those people living in the foreign countries who says that we are taught to talk good and act good without being critical. I think this is something beyond questioning about such people who sacrificed for the sake of other, work for the welfare of other, something beyond what king actually does. Something unquestionable.
Thank you
