College life will be over what's your plan?
College life will be soon over what's your plan?what are your preparing in your head? I am left with one and half semester to get over. If express it emotionally I will be missing a lot, especially the fun with friends and teachers.
I hope many of my friends are prepared at least with plan A and plan B. Hoping that if plan A fails plan B will work. There are people who are constantly driven by the career thirst. These are the people who prepares everything before hand and get ready for it. The thirst of sticking into some organization or companies where your job is secure, so you don't need to worry about begging for jobs.
This is completely a different story from those who even don't have an idea what next? What are you going to do after graduation? Which is like asking an ambition to a high school students. Not all but many of them looses their ambitions after class 10. So does it looses the plans for a graduate students. Many don't even are sure of graduating. What is reserved for them? A useless "unemployed" title? Which no one would like to hold. Or is it that these are the people who will be pitied by everyone? It was triggered by some of my friends who don't even think of plans but still worries.
My point is, is that really necessary? Yes up-to certain degree job is important, having a good plan is very important. To make better choices is even more important. In all these what really matters is the good values. I feel above all, learning good values will make everything alright. Some may have better jobs, some may have their own business who will earn a lot of profit. Some may remain unemployed for next two years not able to make choices on what to do. Some may go abroad to earn better. I know at some point everyone is going to do something at least for a living.
What if you are still not preparing to become a good human being. What if you have a good job but you are not happy and not satisfied with your job or the work area. For this ask yourself a few questions.
Are you still hiding your best cookies like you did some years ago? Are you still eating alone in cafeteria leaving your hungry friend behind even though you have lots of money? Are you still being too conservative on your orthodox thinking? Or you started to be open minded and start to weight between good and bad. Did you start to learn to say "no" in even nicer way? Did you start to ignore small problems? Are you stopping to gossip about people instead of talking good about others. Did you start to learn criticism are opportunities rather than threat? Did you start to think challenges as Opportunities? Did you start to face injustice and acceptance?
If you got better answers for the above random questions, I think you are ready for becoming a graduate. College is a place where people are more streamlined to their interest of study unlike schools where everyone is asked to be uniform. Many people looses track after coming to college but the formula you learnt in class 12 doesn't matter now. A teacher never remembered me by saying "you are the one who memorized that formula in 2013" instead s/he will say "you were a literary captain in 2013 "
Starting to build a good attitude is better than just planning for career. It may contradict with people who are working hard for the career but that doesn't mean you stop working hard but side by side building a good attitude is all that matter. Some of you after graduating may become academician or educationist, civil servants, private employee or entrepreneurs but to level up your life building a good attitude matters. So plan for becoming a good person. I cannot guarantee that you will have good job by being a good person but I dare you will have a damn joyful life..
